Rebecca Stone, Principal, OZ Architecture

With OZ Architecture since 1998, Rebecca is the Managing Principal for the firm and is also a leader in the Resort and Hospitality practice area at OZ Architecture.  Rebecca’s experience runs the total gamut from master planning, entitlements, building programming and design to construction phase services on projects across the nation, including large scale resort, hospitality and commercial mixed-use projects in Colorado, California, Florida, and Virginia, just to name a few.  Throughout her career, Rebecca has designed and been involved in projects for various hotel flagships, including Westin Hotels & Resorts, Viceroy Hotels, Little Nell Hotels, Waldorf-Astoria, Intrawest, RockResorts, Marriott International, Hilton Hotels and The Four Seasons.  As a passionate leader in designing dynamic environments, She also serves as a strong mentor to her teams, encouraging them to stretch their abilities, while guiding them and teaching them from her own “lessons learned.”  In addition, Rebecca heads up Quality Control and Safety Management in OZ’sDenveroffice.

Before Index Consulting Group, he was Corporate Vice President of Development in the Americas for all full-service brands of Carlson Hotels Worldwide. In this role, Sipple led the team responsible for seeking, structuring, and executing owned, managed, franchised, or joint ventured opportunities for the Regent International Hotels; Radisson Hotels & Resorts; and Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts brands throughout North and South America, and the Caribbean. Under his direction, His team at Carlson executed over 220 agreements/acquisitions in the upscale and luxury segments.


He has worked as Regional Director of Development for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide where his duties included product positioning for Westin, Sheraton, Four Points and Luxury Collection brands for the western United States. During his tenure at Starwood, Sipple was responsible for developing over $1 billion of assets including portfolio transactions, ski resorts, golf resorts, mixed-use developments, urban high-rise and luxury destination resorts.

Sipple also held Vice President of Development roles for Ramada Inns and Brookshire Hotels. Additionally, he led the Management Advisory Services practice for Pannell Kerr Forster’s Dallas office, where he developed and taught their national training course for all consultants.

Formerly, as a Certified General Appraiser, he appraised over $1.5 billion of hotel and commercial real estate properties, primarily for lenders, the FDIC and the RTC.
