Jim Boots, President

Immediately after receiving his BS degree from Colorado State University's Construction Management program in 1982, Jim Boots began his career with the Bechtel Corporation in San Francisco, CA. Bechtel has been ranked number 1 on the ENR list of the "Top 400 Contractors" many times over the years. Jim was hired as one of only a handful of employees each year to participate in Bechtel's "Project Management Rotational Engineering" program which was created to train the future leaders of the company. Jim's five years of experience with Bechtel provide a solid foundation from which he draws upon in his construction business.

Jim was Vice President in charge of commercial construction from 1988 to 1993 for the Flatley Company based in Boston, MA. Flatley was a major New England developer who built, owned, managed and leased their own product with over 10 million square feet of office, retail and industrial space under ownership. The Flatley experience has a major influence on Jim's approach to construction and he took away an "owner's perspective" to construction that continues at BOOTS Construction Company today.

In 1993 Jim decided to move back to his roots in Colorado and founded Construction Corp. of the Rockies (CCR), a Denver based commercial general contracting company wholly owned by the Trammell Crow Company. Jim turned this startup company into a successful business completing over $100MM of retail, office, medical, financial services and site development projects. Jim reached an agreement with Trammell Crow in 2001 to purchase the assets of CCR and thus started BOOTS Construction Company with all of the employees from CCR joining him. Building lasting relationships, providing thorough and accurate analysis, delivering on our promises, and helping our clients and team members achieve their goals is what Jim strives for BOOTS Construction to achieve with every project.
