Daniel M. Conway is a real estate market research authority specializing in commercial, residential, and recreational development. Mr. Conway has had more than 40 years of experience as an urban land economist, has gained recognition as a frequent speaker at land use and recreation seminars, and has taught as an honorary instructor at the Universities of Colorado andDenver.


As President and Director of Economics and Market Research for THK Associates, Mr. Conway supervises the preparation of approximately 200 research assessments each year and has conducted studies in all 50 of theUnited Statesas well as a number of foreign countries. THK’s market research emphasizes economic modeling for input in the land planning process to ensure that land uses have a basis in market and economic reality. Working with other team members THK’s research has been instrumental in major transportation projects in determining innovative funding mechanisms for roadway, interchanges and related landscape improvements. Through understanding the potential for land uses adjacent to major roadway improvements, potential funding sources can be identified that might include metropolitan districts, special districts, tax increment financing from property and sales taxes, city or county impact fees, and federal and state grants.


Projects of particular interest include an international market center and industrial market analysis for theDoveValleyBusinessAirParkinArapahoeCounty; a residential and related uses market analysis for several major developments inDouglasCountyincluding the 1,342 acreParkerCitysite; and numerous golf course feasibility studies throughout the country. Specific communities where Mr. Conway has completed a wide range of research and analysis include Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada; Oxnard, Palm Springs and Carmel, California; Kansas City, Missouri; Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Oklahoma; Austin, Texas; Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico; Seattle, Washington; and Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona.


Most recently, Mr. Conway has gained recognition as a sought after speaker on the golf course development circuit. His numerous presentations at the Crittenden Golf Development Expos have been widely attended and universally applauded, and his book “The Cost and Revenues of a Unique Golf Club” has furthered his reputation as one of the industry’s leading authorities. Under Mr.


Conway’s guidance, THK Associates completes over 75 golf course feasibility studies and golf driving range market studies and appraisals each year.
