Hunter is a General Manager for CBRE, currently providing day-to-day property management services for a 717,039 sq. ft. office portfolio owned by Principal Global Investors. The portfolio consists of four office buildings spread between downtown Denver and the Denver Tech Center. His responsibilities include running the two building teams that are assigned to the different buildings, operations, and capital planning/implementation. Prior to this assignment, Hunter was a Senior Real Estate manager for a portfolio of suburban office buildings owned by ING Clarion. The portfolio consisted of four office buildings totaling 533,900 square feet, which were spread out over 30 acres of land. He has spent over 10 years in the real estate industry and has a diverse background of experience, including office, industrial, retail, and hotels.
Hunter has been very involved with sustainability since 2008. He has taken six of his buildings though the LEED certification process, earning LEED Gold for all six buildings. He has also been involved with certification process for 4 other LEED buildings in the CBRE Denver portfolio. He tracks the CRBE Denver Portfolio’s performance on several different operational issues, including utility consumption, recycling, energy star performance, and LEED certification. He is a member of CBRE’s national Green Knight program and the chairman of the national recycling committee.
Background:
Prior to joining CB Richard Ellis, Hunter served as the CFO/Vice President for Maram Holdings LLC. Maram was an asset management company, located in Los Angeles, that he helped start in 2002. His responsibilities consisted of corporate management, asset management, acquisitions, dispositions, and assisted with the development group. The portfolio was valued at $850,000,000 and consisted of office towers, retail malls, hotels, and industrial/flex properties located across the United States.
