Joshua Radoff, Co-Founder and Principal, YR&G

Josh is co-founder and Principal of YR&G. He has a background in sustainable energy engineering and works at the intersection of the energy, sustainability strategy, and green building fields. Josh has consulted on a wide variety of sustainability projects for both public and private sector clients, nationally and internationally, and is a regular writer and speaker on sustainability topics; his work has been featured in print and web magazine articles, blogs, and book essays.


As a consultant, Josh has led a variety of sustainable development projects in the form of strategic guidance, charrette facilitation, design assistance, and technical analysis. His project experience ranges  from university buildings to office towers, affordable housing, retail, new cities, and mixed-use neighborhoods. In support of these projects he has managed the certification across nearly all of the LEED rating systems.


Josh also has experience helping corporate and government clients account for their carbon emissions and develop climate change action plans, including by supporting projects participating in the Clean Development Mechanism of the Kyoto Protocol, the Chicago Climate Exchange, and EPA’s Climate Leader’s program. He holds Masters’ degrees in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and Columbia University in New York.
