| EKS&H has been performing engineering-based cost segregation studies since 2000. We have completed work on more than 600 buildings with a basis of approximately $2.5 billion. One project, performed in 2004, was selected for audit by the engineering department of the IRS. The project consisted of an evaluation on five separate manufacturing buildings with a basis of approximately $35 million. When the IRS reviewed a copy of our report, they told us that it was one of the best they had ever read. They issued a “No Charge” letter shortly thereafter. |
