Women in Design

Women In Design Denver began in 2005 with a self-initiated movement led by Cheryl Bicknell, Martha Bennett and Peggy Kinsey. These women felt there was a need to bring women in the design professions together and they welcomed the enthusiastic group that gathered to join them. Although inspired by the American Institute of Architects' Women in Architecture committee, founded over 25 years ago, WID strives for a diversity of members across all design-related fields. This cross-disciplinary support enhances our members' understanding and connections within the design industry.
