Longmont Area Economic Council

Longmont is a community of 87,000 in northeast Boulder County.  Located just 45 minutes from downtown Denver and Denver International Airport on US 287, Longmont is situated only 15 minutes from the University of Colorado and within an hour of all research universities in Colorado.  Boulder County is the most educated in the US and more than half of Longmont’s industry employment is in advanced technology companies.  With electric rates 35% below the metro Denver average, affordable and available industry space and a pro-business local government, Longmont has the necessary assets to meet the needs of both new and expanding companies.
