    OSHA mandates training for workers who construct, and back-fill excavations and trenches. Our training is in accordance with 29 CFR 1926 Subpart P, 1926.650 - 1926.652. Attendees can earn 1.0 AIA HSW Sustainable Design (SD) continuing education learning unit (LU). Under the state of Colorado's rules for continuing education for state licensure renewal, this program meets the requirements for 1.0 HSW CEH. This seminar provides a basic understanding of portland cement, blended cements, fly ash and slag cement including where they come from, how they are manufactured and to what standards they are produced, their similarities and differences, how they affect concrete performance and their role in sustainable construction.     Join AIA Colorado for International Existing Building Code. This class focuses on the fundamental requirements of IEBC that are placed on an existing structure that undergoes repair work, alteration, renovation activity or construction of an addition, and the effect of a change in the building's occupancy classification. The class discusses the prescriptive requirements, work area requirements and compliance alternatives method of evaluating work in an existing building. Topics include regulations of additions, alterations and repairs, changes of occupancy considerations, compliance alternatives and application of the IEBC. The class qualifies for 7.5 AIA HSW continuing education hours (CEH).     Associated Builders and Contractors - ABC 500 Fast Fundraiser

    The "ABC 500" is head-to-head racing in open-wheeled go-karts that reach speeds up to 55 miles per hour. The high-tech karts provide a computerized printout with lap times and average speed for each racer. Each racer will participate in one "win-by-fastest lap time" qualifying races. The 10 fastest lap winners from the qualifying race will move on to a "win-by-position" championship final race. Medals and cash prizes will be awarded to the top three fastest drivers. All funds raised will be used to support the candidates who support merit shop and free enterprise.
