    AIA Colorado Webinar: Cementious Materials In Concrete - Performance & Sustainability

    Join AIA Colorado for Cementitious Materials in Concrete: Performance and Sustainability, a webinar presented by Holcim (US) Inc. Attendees can earn 1.0 AIA HSW Sustainable Design (SD) continuing education learning unit (LU). Under the state of Colorado's rules for continuing education for state licensure renewal, this program meets the requirements for 1.0 HSW CEH. This seminar provides a basic understanding of portland cement, blended cements, fly ash and slag cement including where they come from, how they are manufactured and to what standards they are produced, their similarities and differences, how they affect concrete performance and their role in sustainable construction.     AIA Colorado Code Class: International Existing Building Code

    Join AIA Colorado for International Existing Building Code. This class focuses on the fundamental requirements of IEBC that are placed on an existing structure that undergoes repair work, alteration, renovation activity or construction of an addition, and the effect of a change in the building's occupancy classification. The class discusses the prescriptive requirements, work area requirements and compliance alternatives method of evaluating work in an existing building. Topics include regulations of additions, alterations and repairs, changes of occupancy considerations, compliance alternatives and application of the IEBC. The class qualifies for 7.5 AIA HSW continuing education hours (CEH). Under the state of Colorado's rules for continuing education for state licensure renewal, this program meets the requirements for 7.5 HSW CEH. The deadline to register is Friday, Aug. 3 at noon.
