Oakwood Homes, in conjunction with Mountain Real Estate Funding Corp., acquired the 2,600-acre Banning Lewis Ranch in northern Colorado Springs.

The master-planned community was sold by a syndicate of former lenders, who took ownership last year. The property has “significant” infrastructure improvements in place and 251 permit-ready finished single-family lots, 88 paired-home lots and a development-ready pad for multifamily product.

Oakwood Homes, one of five builders in the area, plans to build 7,500 homes in the northern part of the ranch. See the June 20 issue for the full story.
