HI Kris, Loan Investing has been a wonderful strategy for my company over the last 5 years. I've been able to buy multiple loans in my own back yard from banks and sellers who had carried back a note. The returns have ranged from the low to high double digits with a high level of security (20 - 60 % LTV). Brownsfield grant funded for cleanup of abandoned mine site

The Colorado Brownfields Foundation recently provided a grant to assist Hinsdale County in the management and cleanup necessary to restore a heritage tourism site.

The grant will assist in the cleanup of the Ute Ulay Townsite, an abandoned mine site, located along Henson Creek, just outside of Lake City. The townsite comprises about six structures that are succumbing to weather and vandalism. The current owner wants to donate it to the community, however, a cleanup is necessary to make the site safe for its intended reuse as a historical interpretive facility.
